What's new
The MINI Countryman Untamed Edition adds raised suspension, all-terrain tyres and travel accessories aimed at use beyond paved roads. It is a new version of the Countryman SUV designed to extend the range with a more outdoor-oriented specification. The changes are not limited to exterior trim, because MINI also revised the suspension, tyres and selected driving systems.
The key technical change is extra ground clearance. Depending on the market and drivetrain version, the suspension has been raised by 15 mm, and in some configurations by up to 19 mm. MINI also says the approach angle and breakover angle have been improved, which is relevant when the car leaves sealed surfaces.
The new version will be offered with several powertrain variants, including combustion and electric models. The planned line-up includes:
- MINI Countryman C,
- MINI Countryman D,
- MINI Countryman S ALL4,
- MINI Countryman E,
- MINI Countryman SE ALL4.
The Untamed Edition is also marked out by visual changes. It receives a revised grille, new underbody guards, protective films on the wheel arches, sills and bonnet, plus numerous Dark Steel details. Dedicated 19-inch wheels are part of the package, as are new body colours, including matte Frozen Nomad Blue, which the manufacturer says is being used for the first time on a series-production MINI model.
Specifications and technology
The Untamed Edition uses Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tyres developed specifically for this version. They are fitted to 19-inch wheels, while in Europe the all-terrain tyres will be available as an option. The tyre change is paired with further work, as MINI has recalibrated ABS, DSC and the steering system for the raised suspension and new rubber.
On ALL4 versions, the changes are intended to improve traction on loose surfaces. The available information does not include power output, torque, acceleration, battery capacity or electric driving range. It does specify that in Europe the raised suspension will be offered only on electric Untamed Edition versions, while in the United States and Canada it will be fitted to all variants of this model.

Touring accessories are a central part of the concept. MINI has prepared a roof tent in cooperation with the Italian company AUTOHOME, as well as a set of folding camping chairs and tables developed with HELINOX. The transport figures are also clearly stated: an optional tow bar allows a trailer of up to 2000 kg, the roof can carry up to 75 kg while driving and up to 300 kg when the vehicle is stationary.
Inside, the model gets Vescin Nightshade Blue sports seats with blue stitching. The dashboard and door panel finishes have also been changed, while the central storage area gains elastic retaining straps inspired by outdoor equipment. Rubber floor mats and a luggage compartment mat are intended to be standard, matching the more utilitarian character of this version.
Markets, prices and availability
Production of the MINI Countryman Untamed Edition is scheduled to begin in November 2026 at the BMW Group plant in Leipzig. The market debut is planned for early 2027, placing the launch window in the first quarter of 2027. MINI has not announced prices or the exact first sales date.
Market differences mainly concern the suspension package. In Europe, the raised suspension will be reserved for the electric Untamed Edition versions, while in the United States and Canada it will be available across all versions. European buyers will be able to add the all-terrain tyres as optional equipment.
The range will include petrol, diesel and electric versions, with ALL4 available on selected variants. The available information does not provide country-specific equipment lists, pricing, performance figures or battery data for the E and SE ALL4 versions.
Verdict
The Countryman Untamed Edition combines a higher ride height, all-terrain tyres, protective body details and camping equipment in one factory-backed package. Its purpose is defined by measurable figures: up to 19 mm of extra suspension height, towing capacity of up to 2000 kg and a stationary roof load of up to 300 kg. The early-2027 debut will show how MINI positions this outdoor-themed Countryman in the market.
