What's new
The key news is that the Mazda CX-6e is due to reach Polish showrooms in summer 2026. The car was presented ahead of launch as an electric SUV measuring 4850 mm in length, with bodywork shaped under the “Soulful Futuristic Modern” design language. It develops the Kodo philosophy, but leaves out sharp creases and a conventional radiator grille.
The front end uses a new interpretation of the grille, an illuminated Mazda Wing and a badge with three-dimensional depth. A Dark Metallic painted panel hides sensors and radars, while the side view combines flush door handles with 20-inch wheels on the higher grade. Although this is a full-size SUV, its profile is meant to suggest a coupé, and the drag coefficient is 0.248.
The cabin marks a clear break from familiar Mazda dashboard layouts. Conventional instruments and a separate infotainment screen have been replaced by a 26-inch panoramic display stretching from the driver’s area to the centre of the dashboard. Operation is handled through touch, voice control with an AI assistant and gesture control that allows apps to be moved in the air.
The interior follows the Japanese idea of “Ma”, understood here as respect for space. Moving the gear selector to the steering column frees up the centre console, which now has a floating form with large storage spaces. In the Takumi Plus version there are two wireless chargers, while the display cars introduced Maztex artificial leather upholstery combined with Cool Grey or copper-coloured metallic accents.
Specifications and technology
Powertrain, battery and charging
The dedicated electric platform allows a wheelbase of 2990 mm, which translates into generous space in the rear. Passengers over 185 cm tall are described as having a large amount of knee room, and the rear floor is completely flat thanks to the electric drivetrain. Luggage capacity is 477 litres at the rear, plus a 64-litre front trunk for charging cables.
The CX-6e is the result of a global cooperation. Mazda designed the car in a Japanese engineering spirit and the chassis was tuned partly at the European centre in Oberursel, while the platform and drive components come from the partnership with China’s Changan. The electric motor is mounted on the rear axle, giving the car rear-wheel drive, and produces 190 kW, or 258 hp, with 320 Nm of torque.
The performance figures are specific: 0 to 100 km/h takes 7.9 seconds and top speed is electronically limited to 185 km/h. Energy is stored in a lithium iron phosphate LFP battery with a capacity of 78 kWh. The pack weighs 550 kg, and the declared combined WLTP range is 484 km.
The electrical system runs at 364 volts. Maximum DC charging power is 195 kW, which enables a 10 to 80 percent charge in about 24 minutes. The onboard AC charger supports 11 kW, and the chassis uses a multi-link rear suspension.

Markets, prices and availability
Polish offer
The first cars are scheduled to appear in Polish showrooms in summer 2026. Mazda is entering a crowded electric SUV segment, but the CX-6e relies on its dimensions: according to the comparison cited at the presentation, its body is 10 to 14 cm longer than market rivals and the long wheelbase should benefit cabin space. No rival model names or other markets were specified.
The Polish price list contains two trim levels, both using the same 258 hp electric drive and 78 kWh battery. The grades are Takumi and Takumi Plus, with the richer specification associated in the presentation with items such as two wireless chargers and the availability of 20-inch wheels on the higher version.
- Mazda CX-6e Takumi, 258 hp, 78 kWh: 206 100 złotych.
- Mazda CX-6e Takumi Plus, 258 hp, 78 kWh: 219 000 złotych.
The car combines Japanese design direction and European chassis tuning with platform and powertrain components supplied through the Changan cooperation. Mazda states that the steering and dampers were calibrated for months to preserve the direct driving character associated with the brand.
Verdict
The Mazda CX-6e brings a large body, a 2990 mm wheelbase, rear-wheel drive and a 78 kWh battery to the Polish electric SUV market, with prices starting at 206 100 złotych. If the declared 484 km WLTP range, 195 kW DC charging and roomy cabin carry over to showroom cars, it will become a substantial addition to Mazda’s electric line-up in Poland.
